5 Lessons a Football Game Taught Me About the Exercise Ball Workout

Recently, I was at a football game where I learned about five areas in which an exercise ball workout scores over more conventional workouts. In this article, I share my experience of the game and tell you about these five primary areas.

The football game had a quarterback -- let's call him Jack - who did everything needed for his team to win the game and made it look all too easy in the bargain. After the game, I got round to the players' dugout and talked to Jack about the following:

1. Collision: Core Muscle Strength

Early on, Jack was involved in a collision that looked like a game-ender for him. In reality, it ended the game for his bigger built opponent who was carried off on a stretcher. Jack appeared dazed initially, but got up and on with the game! Jack explained it off, cryptically: "Exercise Ball Workout". Pressed for details, he explained that his scr888 casino choice of workout had given him strength in core muscle areas, including the abdomen and back muscles that take maximal impact in a collision.

2. Exceptional Quickness: Balance & Flexibility

Jack's exceptional quickness gave his team offense options in which Jack would call the play to either hand the ball off, or run it himself, or pitch it to his running back behind him. He was assisted in this by great balance and super flexibility that was honed, in turn, by his Exercise Ball Workout.

3. Exceptional Ball Handling: Coordination

The quarterback plays a crucial role with the ball in any offensive play. He is in action. From the time the game 'snaps' into play, he has to call plays and make other important decisions. When he receives the ball, he can choose to throw a pass, or opt to hand it to another offensive player, or simply decide to keep it and try and run past the defense. Predictably, Jack gave credit for his great hand-eye coordination while passing and receiving to his choice of workout.

4. The 'Hail Mary' Pass: Endurance

With his team leading 37 to zilch, Jack should have been content to play out time. The 'Hail Mary' pass that he threw -- with just 30 seconds to go -- underlined his great endurance. I trust I don't need to tell you what Jack attributed his endurance to.

5. Composure: Having Fun

Best of all, while other players looked ragged at the end of a bruising football game, Jack was relaxed and clearly enjoying himself. Working out with an exercise ball is fun. It takes the drudgery out of exercise and underlines your ability to enjoy yourself. In Jack's case, it showed... and how!
